Pricing · payment · ownership

The whole cost, on one page.

What each plan costs, what it includes, what it doesn't, how you get charged and how you stop. Everything a person actually needs before handing over a card — with none of it buried in a contract you have to open to find.

Plans

Three ways to get one.

Rent it cheap, rent it premium, or buy it outright. An online shop is an add-on to any of them.

Rent it, cheap

Starter

Everything a business needs to exist online and be found — live in 72 hours.

$49 /month

or $470/year — two months off, and no setup fee

One-time setup $149 on monthly — waived when you prepay the year.

Delivery. 72-hour delivery — guaranteed on this tier

Terms. Cancel any time — your domain is always yours. The built site becomes yours to keep after six months; to own it sooner, just pay the balance of those six months (the months left at $49). Prepay the year and you own it outright, setup waived.

Add-on · any tier

Online shop

Cart, checkout and inventory added to any tier. E-commerce is real ongoing work, so it's always priced separately — never folded quietly into the base.

Quoted per project — typically a setup fee plus a small monthly.

Prices exclude Washington sales tax, which we add on the invoice where it applies. Hosting and domain registration are exempt and itemised separately.

What a monthly plan buys you month to month — edits, turnaround, what's excluded — is on what your plan includes.

How paying works

The money, in plain words.

Every point below is a clause of our Terms of Service said in English. The Terms are the binding version; this is here so you don't have to read a contract to find out when you get charged.

01

Stripe takes the payment. We never see your card.

Every plan checks out through Stripe, the same processor behind a large share of the internet. Your card number goes to them, not to us — we never store it and never see it. You get a receipt from Stripe for every charge.

02

Monthly renews until you stop it. Annual is one payment a year.

A subscription renews automatically until you cancel, which is how it stays a low monthly instead of a big invoice. You cancel yourself — a link or an email, no phone call during business hours, no retention script, and no exit fee.

03

The setup fee lands on the first invoice, once.

On a monthly plan the one-time setup fee is charged with your first month. It pays for actually building the site, which is why the monthly can stay small, and it is non-refundable once we've started building. Prepay the year and it is waived entirely.

04

Cancel an annual plan and you get the unused part back.

Annual prepayments are refunded pro-rata — you are not punished for leaving in month three. The setup fee and any payment made to own the site early are the two exceptions, because both bought work that was already done.

05

Tax is added on the invoice, not hidden in the price.

Prices here exclude tax. Washington sales tax is added on the invoice where it applies: the website build and support are taxable, while hosting and domain registration are itemised separately and are exempt. You see the split rather than a rounded-up total.

The part everyone else buries

Your site. Your domain. Your call.

Plenty of website companies keep your domain in their own name and make leaving expensive. We don't. 7 plain terms, in full — no asterisks.

  1. 01

Your domain is in your name. From day one.

Not ours, not “held on your behalf.” Your name is on the registration the day it's bought, and you get the login — on every tier, including the two subscriptions.

  2. 02

    Cancel any time, by yourself.

A link or an email on the subscriptions — no phone call you have to make during business hours, no retention script, and no early-termination fee.

  3. 03

The built site is yours at six months — or sooner, for the balance.

Stay six months and the whole website is yours to export and host anywhere. Want it sooner? Pay the balance of those six months — just the months remaining, at your monthly rate — and it's yours now. Prepay the year and you own it outright from day one. Leave before then without doing that, and you still keep your domain, just not the built site.

  4. 04

    A one-time setup, then a low monthly.

The setup fee ($149 Starter · $249 Care) pays for building your site, which is exactly why the monthly can stay small. Prepay the year and the setup is waived — and the site's yours outright.

  5. 05

If we built it and it's broken, we fix it free. Always.

Not “within 30 days”, not “if you're on the right plan.” A broken link, a layout that breaks on a phone, a form that doesn't send — that's our defect, and fixing it costs you nothing, on every plan including the $49 one, with no time limit and no deduction from your monthly edits. Changing what the site SAYS is an edit and comes out of your allowance; making it work the way it was sold to you never does. When it's genuinely unclear which one something is, we call it a fix. We stand behind what we build.

  6. 06

    No ads. No tracking. Ever.

Your site is yours — not a billboard. It carries no advertising, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. The one thing on the page that isn't yours is a small “Made by Techne” credit in the footer, and it is a plain link with no script behind it. It is a promise, not a plan tier, and every site is checked against it before it goes live — a build that picked up a third-party script fails and does not ship. If you're on a free plan somewhere today, scroll to the bottom of your own site and see what's there.

  7. 07

Custom is a purchase — yours forever.

No subscription, no lock, no hostage. You buy the site outright: once it's paid in full we hand over every file and the domain, and step back. Maintenance later is optional, never required.

Everything else we've written down

Nothing lives only in a sales page.

Let's build the one people find.

Your domain in your name from day one, the site itself yours after 6 months, and cancellation you can do yourself.
