Dokaz Industries operates Doxa, Kleos, and Techne. This explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Last updated July 30, 2026.
This policy applies to everyone we interact with: business owners whose public presence appears in our AI-visibility research (Kleos) or a scan; clients who buy an audit, a monitoring subscription, or a website (Techne); visitors to our sites and the client sites we host; and subscribers to our research dispatches (Doxa Field Notes).
From public sources: to measure how AI assistants describe and recommend local businesses, we use publicly available business information — name, category, service area, website status — from open, permissively-licensed sources (Overture Maps, OpenStreetMap, and public government records such as state contractor-license registries). We do not scrape or resell data from sources whose terms prohibit it; Google Places and Yelp, for example, are treated as prohibited and are not used.
AI model outputs: we record what frontier AI models (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) say in response to a fixed set of questions. These outputs are about the models' behaviour, not about you.
From you directly: when you contact us, request an audit, or become a client, we collect what you provide — name, email, phone, business details, and, for Techne clients, the content you want on your website (copy, photos, hours, services, testimonials).
This is a promise, not a preference: our sites and every client site we host are static and carry no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies. A contact form only ever sends what a visitor chooses to type into it.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not run advertising or accept pay-to-influence placements of any kind — not now, not later. It's fundamental to how we operate, so it isn't going to change.
To produce public AI-visibility leaderboards and research; to prepare audits and monitoring reports; to build, deploy, and maintain client websites; to respond to inquiries and provide the services purchased; and to send research dispatches to people who subscribe (with one-click unsubscribe).
Where our research states a fact about a business — for example, that it has no working website — we do our best to back it with machine-checkable evidence rather than guess, and we hold unresolved cases instead of publishing them. But we cannot and will not claim to be perfect: some false leads still slip through. If we've got something wrong about your business, tell us and we'll correct or remove it quickly.
We share the minimum necessary data with vendors that operate parts of our service, each processing data only to provide its function: Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google (AI model queries); Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, email routing); Stripe (payment processing — we never store card numbers); and email/form providers (transactional email and contact-form delivery).
Client websites are built to keep you in control. Your domain is registered in your name from day one and is never held as a Company asset. You own the content you provide, and it is used only to build and run your site, never redistributed. On cancellation you always keep your domain; you keep the built site itself (a free static export) once you've subscribed six months, prepaid a year, or paid the balance of those first six months to own it early. Annual prepayments are refunded pro-rata.
We keep client records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise them. Business owners who appear in our public research may request correction or removal of their listing at any time. Subscribers can unsubscribe from any dispatch using the link in the email. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or its deletion, subject to records we are legally required to retain.

We limit access to personal information, keep secrets and API keys out of published code, and use reputable providers for hosting and payments. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for least-necessary data and public-source-first research to keep exposure low.
Our services are for adults running businesses. We do not knowingly work with, or collect information from, anyone under 18 without documented approval from a parent or legal guardian.
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
