QuickBooks wants $30 a month and is built for bookkeepers. You have a truck and twelve customers.

Obol is one file. You double-click it and you are invoicing. There is no account to make, no password to remember, and no subscription to cancel later.

What it does

Estimates that become invoices

Write an estimate, send it, and turn an accepted one into an invoice in a single click.

You always know what you are owed

Outstanding, paid this month, and open estimates sit at the top of the screen, on every device.

Clean printed documents

Print or save a professional PDF straight from the browser. Paid invoices say so; internal states like draft never reach your customer.

It makes no network requests

Your customer names, your prices and your income never leave your computer, because there is nowhere for them to go. It works on a job site with no signal, from a USB stick, on a laptop that has never been online.

Saving is explicit

Nothing is saved behind your back. A bar tells you when there are unsaved changes, and warns you before you could lose them.

What the $19 buys

The file, yours to keep, and a licence key that removes the small “created with Obol” line from your printed documents so they carry your business and nothing else. One payment, no expiry, no seat count. Paste the same key on every machine you use.

What you should know before buying

  • It keeps your work in your browser's local storage, so it lives on the machine and browser you use it in, and clearing your browsing data clears it. Use the Back up button now and then; restoring is one click and the file is plain JSON.
  • The free version is the same app with our name on the printed footer. If that suits you, use it and keep your $19.
