Website technology checker
Find out what a website is built with: its CMS or platform, analytics tags, contact emails and phone numbers, social profiles and schema.org markup, from one page fetch.
Runs on our API. What you enter is sent over HTTPS to api.dokazindustries.com, which does the work and sends the result straight back. The API keeps no copy of it; it counts calls per network (by a one-way hash of your IP address) to hold the free tier to 100 calls a day.
How to use it
- Type a website address. “example.com” is enough; https:// is added for you.
- Press Check. Our API fetches that one page and reads its HTML and headers.
- Read what it found: the platform or CMS, analytics tags, contact details, social profiles and structured data.
Need this in bulk, or from code?
The same job is one HTTP call to our API: GET /v1/site/intel. 100 calls a day free with no key; paid plans from $9 a month. One key
works for every API.
Questions
How does it know what a site is built with?
By markers each technology leaves in a page's HTML and response headers: a CMS's generator tag, a platform's script addresses, a CDN's headers. It reports only what it finds a marker for, so a blank means “not seen”, not “not used”.
Does it load the whole site?
No. It fetches the one address you give (following up to 3 redirects) and reads the first 512 KB of its HTML, the way a search engine's first pass would. It does not run the page's JavaScript, so things that only appear after scripts run are not seen.
Where do the emails and phone numbers come from?
From that page itself: addresses and numbers written in its HTML, including mailto: and tel: links. Nothing is looked up anywhere else.
What is a “locked platform”?
A hosted system a business rents rather than owns, such as a booking, point-of-sale or shop-management platform with its own website builder. It is reported only on a positive marker, never guessed.
Is the site I check told about it?
The site sees one ordinary page request from our API's server, like any visitor or search engine. We do not store the address you check or what we found.
